Myself Md. Mafidul Islam is a Lecturer in the Materials Science and Engineering department at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology. I completed my B.Sc in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). My research interest is to bridge materials science and biomedical science and curtail the distinction between living and non-living creation. Also I am attentive to work on composite materials in future. During my undergraduate studies, I have done my thesis titled "Numerical Analysis of Carbon/Natural Fiber and Hybrid Composites Pressure Vessels " under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Md Foisal Hossain, ECE, KUET. Based on my thesis work, a research article has been published in Hybrid Advances journal and a conference paper is also published in the 7th international conference on Engineering Research, Innovation and Education January 12-14, 2023, Sylhet, Bangladesh . During my whole thesis work I have guided by Dr. Md Shafiul Ferdous, Former Faculty of ME, KUET and Dr. Sohel Rana, Atomic Energy Commission, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Later, I have worked on "Density functional theory" to find promising perovskite material for various application, specially Solar Cell. One of our research work has been published titled " DFT insights into the pressure-induced ultraviolet to visible band gap engineering of TlMgF3 cubic halide perovskites for optoelectronic applications" in the journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids. Also I am working on DFT continuously. Currently I am doing part-time Masters in Materials Science and Engineering at KUET and I am interested to do research on nanocomposite and biomaterials. Also I want to continue Finite Element Analysis through ABAQUS of composite materials. I personally prefer not only rely on computational analysis but also experimental results.
